In the rich musical landscape of Trinidad and Tobago, the rhythm section, or “engine room,” as it is commonly called, is a group of percussion instruments that traditionally accompanied steel drums, providing a pulsation and rhythm for the whole band.
Laventille, considered to be the leading rhythm section in Trinidad and born on the hills of Laventil more than two decades ago, thanks to its instrumental and rhythmic innovations, has become an object that can independently keep all performances in suspense. The vibrations that are created whenever they come out can be called nothing more than phenomenal.
Indigisounds has teamed up with well-known electronic music duet and pioneers of Caribbean dance music, Jus Now, to present to producers around the world the first-of-its-kind library of authentic rhythm samples that captures the unique sound of the Laventille rhythm section. Now you have the opportunity to use the amazing power and energy created by these Instrument.
